Product Info & Application

  • Plutonium™ interior/exterior aerosol paint is a unique modified automotive acrylic lacquer which provides a premium coating that resists dripping, chipping, cracking and peeling.
  • Due to its high pigment load Plutonium™ can provide up to 2½ times the coverage of other aerosol paints, this will vary by color and comparison brands.
  • Ideal for use on metals, masonry, wood, wicker, paper and some rubber and plastic surfaces for a smooth, durable, satin finish.
  • As a true HVLP (high volume low pressure) color delivery system, our paint has been developed to dry faster, cover better and last longer than any other aerosol paint.
  • Note For Application: Paint should be applied 5-9 inches from surface. Humidity will accelerate dry time, so as humidity increases, the distance from the target surface MUST BE REDUCED. You can apply Plutonium™ Paint 1-2 inches from target surface if necessary. If paint is applied more than 3-5 inches from surface, it may dry in the air and cause a “dusty” finish.
  • One of the many benefits of Plutonium™ Paint is the fact that it is a fast drying aerosol. The user is able to complete projects much faster (3-5 minutes) instead of 6-12 hours or more.
  • Mold, mildew and fade resistant with superior UV protection.
  • Plutonium™ is innovative, with an ergonomic seamless can and dual valve system – a feature that allows the can to be held upside down while spraying without clogging.
  • Its interchangeable actuator system provides variable spray patterns from 1/16th” to over 10″ wide.
  • Plutonium™ reduces the carbon footprint of aerosol spray by 50%, by using a 70% pigment load and 30% propellant, making it more eco-friendly than leading brands. No CFCs.
  • Our cans are environmentally friendly. Made from tin-free steel and coated on both sides with PET (a polyester polymer), we’ve eliminated the need for solvent-based interior lining, thereby significantly reducing any carbon emissions. Our finished cans have no welded side seams; this does away with with the need for copper or water during manufacturing.
  • Will not interfere with the use of, or in combination with, other aerosol paints, which often crystallize when multiple brands are used together.
  • Plutonium™ Paint has a 5-year shelf life.
  • Made in the USA. Born and raised in Detroit. (Manufactured in Menomonee Falls, WI)

  1. I would be interested in watching videos with spray can painting technique advice. Especially if you can show example differences in results when things are done right, that’s something I would definitely watch. I do like the idea of using a higher quality product without committing to owning much more expensive painting equipment.

    • We will be posting some great videos. If you look on the connect page we have a YouTube channel. I bet you would like what is there 🙂 We also post stuff you would enjoy on our Facebook and Twitter pages 🙂

  2. Thank you so much for not only making a great product but also taking care of the environment. My family is painting several rooms right now, and I am going to suggest that they use your paint.

  3. Thanks for all of the support! I hope we can collaborate on something in the future. Let me know if I can add value to something you are working on. I hope we can curate, collaborate, and change something together soon!

  4. I don’t use spray paint in my art (comics are too small!) but if I ever start painting murals again, I’ll look for your paint. I love the art you’re featuring here, keep up the good work!

  5. It looks like you have an excellent product. I love all the artwork. Next time I need spray paint I’ll definitely look for yours.
Thanks for following my blog, I’m glad you liked it. 🙂

  6. Few awesome work you have out there my friend ! Thank you for choosing to follow my bog. I really hope I can live up to your expectation ! Appreciate your valuable commend and critique from time to time on my posts. Take care and sleep on inspiring us !!

  7. I like Ray Ferrier’s art! I visited your regular website and found that you do have retailers in Phoenix. I think this paint would be good for my son’s Cub Scout Pinewood Derby car next year.

  8. You’ve really got some lovely and – especially – original artwork on here. Loved the Audrey Hepburn one especially. Thanks a lot for follwing my blog.

  9. Thanks so much for the follow. I love the artwork and the colors. I’ve always loved crafting in addition to my writing, but haven’t been able to do it since my hemorrhage. I did some searching on Pinterest for ideas and found some that look pretty simple for me to start out with and will help with my fine motor skills.

Since I’m not driving again yet, I’ll have to order the paint online, but I’ll be happy to send you pics of my first finished ‘project’. 🙂 You’ve gotten yourselves a new follower. Plus, I love the fact that you’re eco-friendly. Eva

  10. I really like your brand and product aesthetic, being a spray paint for artists. Unlike the positioning taken by Krylon and others, whose end use may be the same, but are targeted towards home improvers and the like. The can design reminds me of a large paint marker. You definitely have a style that speaks graffiti. I hope you’re able to continue and evolve your brand.

  11. Wow, your paint looks amazing! I was just about to research paint sprayers for some upcoming projects I have–wooden dining chairs and an old metal go-cart frame–since I love the clean results spray paint yields but hate the lack of color options from traditional spray paints. Have any retailers in the Houston, Texas area or is my best bet to order online? And thanks for the follow, by the way!

  12. Now, this is a new one on me … clicked ABOUT as I always do on those who follow me before choosing a couple of essays to check out … oh, wow!

What great creativity, and best of all, what a great product.

With TSA regulations, unfortunately, it does not seem one can pack them for air travel? I really would love to try them out some day.

Good luck. And, eh, thanks for checking my blog out.

  13. Great product, the Plutonium Paint!

I see that unfortunately I missed the contest to win a paint by Raul Ferrer!
I wish you could have followed my blog earlier, so I wouldn’t have missed this opportunity! 🙂

  14. I’ve seen the amazing artwork people have done with your spray paint!
I work with acrylic paint in a traditional sense…but I will definitely tell my fellow artist friends about this page and your brand!
